Happy New Year

I hope all of you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! It’s 2009, a new year which means new beginnings. A lot of us make resolutions to lose weight, new job, make more money, spending more time with family and friends etc. the list goes on. Sometimes you just have to put yourself first, like me for example. Me and my ex husband separated in December 2005 and since then every Christmas I can’t help but not to think about it. And I will tell you something else. Weither it’s seperation, divorce, a loss of any kind, no matter what it is you might be going through, it takes time for your heart to heal! Growing up I’ve heard from people and even you see it on TV how some people get depressed over the holidays. But now I’m putting myself first and thinking about me and my Son and ” Our Future ” and what is going to make us happy. Being a single mom isn’t easy but at least I know I have nothing holding me back now. Having a blog helps me express my feelings. When I was younger I enjoyed writing but then as time went on I didn’t do it anymore. Now I have the ambition to write again. So now that I’m going to school I have became interested in blogging because I enjoy writing and there are so many advantages . Blogging can either be a hobby, advertisement, or like a journel express your feelings in hope that I too can and will hopefully inspire someone else, and eventually a source of income . So here is to the New Year and new beginnings. I hope the Holiday’s were good to each and everyone of you.
Twisttafate’s Blog

~Twisttafate~ is up and going thanks to Char Polanosky with www.EssentialKeystrokes.com . She did a great job and also gave me some great pointers to start off with! I have came across some other great blogs that have turned out to be very successful. Lorelle VanFossen on Wordpress is also another one of my favorite’s. She knows some great blogging tips that can be very beneficial for you and your blog. You may have a home business, or a stay at home mom and you’re not quite seeing the results you thought you would be by now and you’re just not getting the attention from other readers or the traffic you had hoped for. I was told at the beginning and it’s true, that it doesn’t happen over night. When I decided to invest some money in my blog, Char Polanosky helped guide me along the way. It can be overwhelming at the beginning because you’re not sure where to start. But when you actually take the time to get online and check out other blogs such as http://problogger.net which is also one of my favorites and has some insightful tips. If you’re serious about having a successful blog, there are several different ways to get you going. Before I launched ~Twisttafate~ I spoke with several pro bloggers and web developers/designers and I asked them how much they charged to design a blog for me. At first I hesitated, but I’m happy with the choice I made. If you are serious about having a successful blog my first suggestion is for you to put some time aside each week for your blog and try to at least write 2 post a week if not more. Your blog is what you put into it. Talk about what your intrest are or even if you want to write about your personal life and experiences, things you have first hand knowledge about. So if you want to learn more about what it takes to create a successful blog, I recommend that you read Blogging Tips by Lorelle VanFossen. You can also checkout her blog site at http://lorelle.wordpress.com/ .
