About

me-lil-man11Hello, my name is Kristy DeWalt . I live in Winston Salem, North Carolina and I have a Son that just turned 5 years old April 18th. He is ” My World “ and I’m currently going to school online at Kaplan University to get my Bachelor’s degree in ” Computer Information Systems “ . I stay at home with my son so being able to stay at home and still be able to go to school works out Great for me!  My son was born at 24 weeks ( 6 months ). Due to his premature birth his doctor’s told me in time my son may develope cerebral palsy, seizures, and might have some learning disabilities. Of course I didn’t accept that and I knew He would be just fine. At the time I was married to his father and we both knew everything would be fine. That is when Our Marriage and Faith were both tested. As time went by our son was diagnosed with seizures when he was a little over a 1 year old. Then several weeks later Austin’s doctor told us he had Cerebral Palsy. It was like a nightmare that you can’t wake up from, escpecially when his father and I seperated. At first when I found out that my husband cheated on me I was hurt and didn’t think that he would have ever cheated on me. But when he cheated on me again, and it literatly killed me inside but I had to do it. That’s when I told him ” We Were Over “  Now Austin’s father and I are now divorced. But at least we can talk now and we’re better friend’s now than we were when we were married. He does his responsibilities as he should.

With that being said I’m trying to look into the future and acting as if it’s just me and My LiL Man. I’ve always had a intrest in Web Design and Web Development, so now I’m pursuing a career that  I’m able to work from home and love what I do. My son goes to school which is great for him and he Loves the interaction with the other children. He definitely is a Fighter and has become stronger and stronger everyday. You can see the determination that He has. In the meantime I have become more and more interested in blogging and freelance writing. If any of you have children with disabilities, special needs or know someone that does, You are more than welcome to contact me at twisttafate@yahoo.com. It’s nice to have someone to talk to and relate with. Just remember ” Don’t Ever Give Up ” !! We as parent’s, siblings, etc  Have to ” Stay Strong “ because if we don’t, Who will?
